NFPA Standards & Codes
The National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) has set 7 required standards for industrial businesses to minimize fire-related incidents. These include: NFPA 61, NFPA 68, NFPA 69, NFPA 484, NFPA 652, NFPA 654, & NFPA 664. If your facility handles combustible and explosive dust you must be aware of these NFPA standards.
AER Control Systems has designed all of their industrial air filtration units with these standards in mind to keep your shop in compliance.
Standard for Combustible Metals
NFPA 484
This standard is to prevent explosions from industrial applications like grinding, buffing, and finishing.

Standard on Fundamentals of Combustible Dust
NFPA 652
A Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) must be performed for all operations that generate, process, handle, or store combustible dusts or particulate solids.
Units designed to prevent combustible dust explosions & fires:
Standard for Prevention of Fire & Dust Explosions
NFPA 654
Based on the findings from the DHA, this standard requires facilities to design and implement a safe and effective dust collection system.
